Each outing—from their competitive bowling games to a high‑energy Harlem Globetrotters show and even one‑on‑one pickleball—has strengthened their bond and allowed Jeremiah to feel increasingly at ease, supported, and seen. Matthew’s thoughtful consistency, his curiosity about Jeremiah’s interests, and his steady presence have helped Jeremiah open up, show confidence, and experience the joy of having a reliable mentor. In turn, Matthew benefits from witnessing Jeremiah’s enthusiasm, growth, and willingness to engage, making the match rewarding and deeply impactful for them both.
