Exploring this cave together was a reminder that I Exploring this cave together was a reminder that IT TAKES A VILLAGE to create moments that feel meaningful. Connection doesn’t happen in isolation; it comes from choosing to show up, be present, and share experiences that push us a little outside our comfort zones. Today it was a cave, tomorrow it might be something entirely different, but every step is part of building the kind of community and support that makes these moments possible. #Cave #explorer #education #bbbs #explorepage

They have grown stronger since beginning in September 2025, with consistent outings built around sports, shared activities, and supportive communication that helped Zeke become more comfortable and increasingly talkative over time. Zeke benefited from having a steady, encouraging adult who showed up for his games, checked in regularly, and helped him practice social confidence in fun, low pressure ways, while Apollos found fulfillment in watching Zeke open up, grow, and enjoy their time together. Their rapport deepened through simple but meaningful activities—basketball, soccer, movies, and meals—paired with Apollos’ intentional efforts to meet Zeke where he was. The match also brought reassurance and relief to Zeke’s mom, Rachel, who repeatedly expressed how happy she was with the connection and how supported Zeke felt.

Let's check in on Shelley and Jordyn. This match h Let's check in on Shelley and Jordyn. This match has grown into a supportive, consistent relationship that benefits both of them. Jordyn enjoys having a Big Sister who listens, shows up weekly, and offers a calm, comfortable space to talk about school, friends, and life. She consistently reports feeling safe, happy, and relaxed during their visits, sharing that their time together is “really fun” and that she enjoys their conversations and lunches. For Shelley, the match has provided the chance to build a meaningful connection with a young person, and she remains committed, engaged, and reflective about Jordyn’s need. Both Big and Little gain from the steady routine, positive conversations, and growing trust that define their match.
