Annual Match & Family Engagement Events

Saturday, March 4th at Likewise Coffee. Drop by anytime between 9 - 11 am for a free cup of coffee and the chance to meet other BBBS caregivers.

The Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Commission Parade will step off at 10:00 am at Chilhowee Park and conclude at Dr. Walter E. Hardy Park for a special Beck Juneteenth Memorial Tribute service. Join our BBBS group as we march together.

Join the BBBS family for pizza and skating at the Change Center! Bigs, Littles, and family members are invited, but there are limited spots so please RSVP.

All Bigs are invited to join BBBS staff and other youth-serving organizations at this training. Please join us to learn more information on how to better serve our mentees who have been affected by the opioid crisis. The first half of the training will cover general information regarding the opioid epidemic. During the second half, the discussion will be centered on how the Knoxville Police Department sees the effects of opioids in our local area.

RSVP to receive the shoe order form. Shoes for School is an annual event that provides new shoes and school supplies for area children. These back-to-school basics give students stability and boost their self-esteem so that they can successfully start a new year in the classroom. We work with other nonprofits to identify and register children ages 5-12 who need the most assistance. Thank you Knoxville Area Urban League!

We are partnering with Variety Children’s Charity to invite our matches and Little’s families! This event will be on December 2nd at Regal Riviera, 510 S Gay Street, Knoxville, TN and begins at 8:45am. Come destress and relax before the Holiday Season by doing some beginners yoga! This is Holiday themed, so it is sure to be jolly! Come join us to celebrate the kick-off of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament! There will be games, activities, and dinner provided by Moe's Southwest Grill! PLUS, each group will have the opportunity to fill out a bracket, and the most accurate bracket by the end of the tournament will win a $50 visa gift card! This event is a drop-in style, so feel free to come anytime between 5:30-7:30pm. Matches and Little's families are both welcome to this event, but there is limited space! Come enjoy a fun day of football on Saturday, November 23rd! We will watch the Tennessee Vols against UTEP at 1pm in our office. Lunch from Moe's Southwest Grill will be provided! At this party we will, of course, watch the game, but we will also have fun games available to play, and a game of football outside during halftime!
