In partnership with Mayor Kincannon and her office, matches will have the opportunity to learn about the importance of civic engagement in a local capacity in addition to understanding their rights as a citizen. Dinner will be provided!
Join us to celebrate the driving force of our mission, Mentors. The Big Night Out will be held on March 24, 2023, from 6:00-9:00 PM, at Bridgewater Place. HONORING: Hall of Fame Inductees: West Knox Sertoma Club and Vivian A. Gwinn Vivian A. Gwinn Community Partner Award: Sierra Club of TN Harvey Broome Group Impact Award: Bank of America East Tennessee Mentor of the Year: Pam Fansler The evening will feature a wine and beer cocktail hour with a silent auction. At 7 pm dinner and awards will begin followed by a live experience auction. Our silent auction will include gift packages as well as Mentor Hours, one-on-one mentoring experience with leaders in East Tennessee.

Join our staff and current mentors at Oakey's Sports Grill to learn more about what being a "Big" means! We will have appetizers, giveaways, and information about how to get involved with our organization. The event will be in Oakey's private room (to the right of the front entrance). Saturday, May 20th from 1-4 pm. A bicycle ride at Forks of the River Wildlife Management area is always a great outside activity. We’ll spend some time walking through fields of sunflowers in addition to riding. If you have binoculars bring them to to look at the many birds and butterflies that live in these fields and nearby forests.

We will go the first weekend before the National Park Service program at Elkmont in the Smokies. Don’t worry, there will still be many fireflies when we go. We will be providing a handout detailing preparation and logistics for this outing.
